SGH or GLENEAGLES? where should i do my knee op man...both around same price...the gleneagles surgeon is slightly higher qualified i think but the sgh one is a senior consultant there...though i suppose they dun have snr consultants in gleneagles cuz its like private practices using the hospital facilities...no time to think through carefully man...if do sgh then it's on monday...gleneagles then 2 more weeks...sigh...saf lah...one thing i've learnt...DUN JOIN THE GOVERNMENT SERVICE IF YOU THINK THE HEALTH BENEFITS ARE GOOD!why?cuz they give you subsidisized doctors which essentially means that they're either not that good or trainee doctors...had 2 encounters already...when i was having my floaters problem, the subsidized doctor din bother to explain to me much and just went about checking the problem as it is...on the other hand, when i went to a snr consultant he told me wad to luk out for and there was a small retinal tear that time so i went to check it out with him and he did the surgery for me...and now my knee op is going to be done by a trainee doctor if saf pays for it...wth!no way man!gonna have to pay the medical bills for a qualified doctor to do it...so this is how it works...they dun really pay your medical bills for nuts...they want something in return out of it and that is to let trainees practice on you...and this is another reason why i'm contemplating gleneagles now cuz it's more like personalised service i guess...something like free market forces and government controlled ones...oh well...have to decide soon...
