assuming I pay back 500 per month, that's going to take me 60 months to repay not including interest. if I top it up t0 1k per month, that's going to take 30 months. that's a range of 3-6 years to pay everything back. I'll be 28-31 by the time I repay the loans. HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO GET THE MONEY TO START A FAMILY!

This is indeed very saddening. It seems like I might have to find higher paying jobs with shitty work-life balance over lesser paying ones which might by my passion.
