I realised my beliefs ties in with Deism.

Well not entirely. But for the most part.

Jesus, Muhammad, Gautama Buddha. I believe in all of them.

One very important aspect of my beliefs are that God does not interfere directly with our world. He created everything and meant for it to be in harmony within the laws of the universe.

This means that God and evolution can co-exist in our minds. Because as history has made it out, we are here from apes but it was a process which he knew would happen. The bottom line is, we are here doing his work of creation proud.

Now, some of us might argue that our religion has seen God touch our lives personally. It might be the case. Personally, I believe he gave us the power to use our minds to allow our faith to help ourselves. I agree that religion is important. And I agree faith is important. It is what we are capable of embracing to empower his gift onto us. Now I am not stereotyping any religion, but to give an example, there are some Christians who will take a religious bat and knock every dis-believer's remarks down. And to be fair to them, it is also the dis-believers' fault for phrasing their accusations in overtly harsh tones.

I think we need to understand one thing clearly. God is above us all. To say you understand him is clearly impossible. Faith is all we have. And the reason for faith is that we, as humans, are not smart enough to comprehend higher levels of thoughts. But there is no need to fight that, we were meant to be that way.

I am pretty sure, everyone of us does think about this question : why is it so unfair for my loved one to be taken away? For sure, we will pray for them to recover. Post-death of the loved one, a religious person might think that God has a plan for us all no matter what. For the Atheist, he'll probably find even more reasons to deny the existence of God in his mind. Sidestepping, I think that very often, we try means and ways to influence those around us to embrace our hardened beliefs. But have you ever wondered that maybe, it isn't so important for them to share your thinking?

This is why I like to tell people that I'm a half-Catholic. I'm not baptised. But I have gone to Catholic schools all my life. My family members are Catholics, less my dad who is Christian. For the past few years, I'm guilty of passing sarcastic remarks about "over-zealous" Christians. I'm trying my best to stop though. The part about me emphasizing being half-Catholic is that I really do not want to shut out what people tell me. One thing I hate is for a person of a religion to say this to me : "no, you do not know your stuff about my religion. where did you get your information from? you go and read the bible properly again. I know it very well, I've been studying it for many years. aiyah nvm, you don't know lah. don't talk to me about my religion cuz I know it better"

Well, I suppose he is really holy and God must be smiling on him every single day. Best disciple.

There see, I've just said something sarcastic again. I really can't help it sometimes.

So now, I try to just listen to what people say about their beliefs. I don't evaluate everything they say but just listen. After all, being half-Catholic means that they're not offending me by saying stuff which goes against my religion.
