Looking back in time, I don't think there was ever a moment when there wasn't a war going on in the world.

These links will give you an idea of the numerous wars past and present

Now if we draw a bell curve of the incidences of wars in all the regions, we can see that wars do indeed follow statistics. We can't say that statistics points to a definitive war happening, but we can say that statistics defines a confirmation of the occurance of a war in the >"0(zero)" order. Now, imagine you can see the bell curve and pick one spot where you think your country lies in. Is it scary now? Does it impact onto you that as long as time runs, the looming of one involving your own people becomes even more likely?

I think lying high on the bell curve, in the middle, with a 100 year return period of above average conflict are 4 regions.

1) A peninsula divided by democracy and socialism.

2) A behemoth and a ikan billis who's leadership yoyos up and down, but the yoyo still gets flung from the hand, like how yo-hans plays his yoyo.

3) 2 countries which stuffed volcanos into their missles and declare them active for eruption displays. Increasing unhappiness over a land which has a name like ("the stuff you want in your wallet" - combined with - "a type of cat which lives in the desert"). The behemoth is joining in the party too actually, but has taken the backlight recently because the other 2 guys are having a dance showdown.

4) A country which produced a coach managing a team which shares the same name as the daughter of a dude caught with his pants down.

ASEAN is becoming a formidable force gaining the world's respect in recent years. This is very good for all of us SEA countries. We do not fight one another but collaborate to show off our brotherhood to other countries. Strength in unity. Land mass, economic poweress, and assorted labour. We must strive to achieve the same comfort with each other as the european union members share. No need to choose between american and british English when installing software; it'll be SEA English. We should aim to become mediators in conflict instead of internally conflicting ourselves. It's always land land land issues. Has the economic benefits outweighed the cost so far? Will it ever? Share it and gain more.
