after my impulsive crazy early morning run again, saw this documentary on discovery channel...its called discovery kids...and they have half time questions for the kids to ponder...beats the stupid lousy low quality uninteresting shows we watched in primary school which has some lulling music composed by some lee rahmat singh and a obiangly dressed host with a fuzzy voice(prob due to the mould on the tape)...well anyway...it was on bacteria, how they mutate, and the increasing concerns of how the current anti-biotics are going to lose their effectiveness in the not too distant future...as can be seen in my arty diagram, when the bacteria encounter anti-biotics, they will exchange dna data with all kinds of other bacteria so that their pals can dodge the karate chop from the anti-biotics which they kerna earlier on...if i'm not wrong, there are currently 4 types of anti-biotics in the world...the last resort is the 4th one which is very potent but at the same time toxic...and there have been cases of bacteria which have gained immunity to this one too...that is very scary...it means you can start writing your will and watch the sunset with tears rolling down your eyes...kay...me being insensitive here...but on a serious note...technology will produce more antibiotics...so its a matter of the race between antibiotics and the bacteria...and it's likely that at one point of time, the bacteria will triumph...cuz even the chances of being killed by lightning is 0.000002 percent...say in the next 2 million years it might happen?unless another approach to eradicate the lil buggers is found out that is...
